Women-Led · Citizen-Powered · 501(c)4 Civic Organization
Momentum Rising is a civic leadership organization with a singular mission: protect every American's right to vote — ensuring that every eligible voter is not only registered, but able to cast their ballot freely, unencumbered, and without the threat of intimidation.
Who We Are
Momentum Rising is a women-led 501(c)4 civic organization engaging the communities most vulnerable to the real and impending threats from an administration hellbent on preventing free and fair elections in 2026. We don't just mobilize. We go door to door, phone to phone, and text to text — to make sure every eligible voter is on the rolls, knows their rights, and can cast their ballot without fear.
The Trump administration, in coordination with complicit governors, attorneys general, and secretaries of state, has launched a coordinated, three-stage assault on voting rights — before the election, on Election Day, and after the vote. Momentum Rising is building the citizen-led response to all three stages.
Our focus is on Black and Brown communities in southern states and swing states facing the greatest threats — from voter roll purges driven by DHS data surrender, to ICE deployed at polling places, to post-election ballot seizures. This is the fight. We are in it.
Our Work
MR civic staff canvass, phone, and text voters in communities most vulnerable to purges driven by sensitive voter data surrendered to DHS. We find voters who have been improperly removed from the rolls — before they discover it at the polls on Election Day.
Momentum Rising's Project Sentinel deploys trained, certified civic staff into targeted Black and Brown communities where federal agents are expected to be stationed outside polling places. Every incident documented. Every violation escalated. Every voter protected.
Project Sentinel extends into the certification period — preparing civic staff for ballot seizures, certification obstruction, and litigation floods. Working alongside legal organizations with the infrastructure to respond, we ensure every vote cast is counted.
Momentum Rising employs experienced women organizers as paid professional staff — not volunteers. We are building the civic infrastructure that outlasts any single election cycle and grows stronger with every fight.
Why Momentum Rising
Millions of Americans will be purged from voter rolls before November 2026 and won't find out until they show up to vote. ICE agents will be stationed outside polling places in Black and Brown communities — not to prevent fraud, but to instill fear. And if the results don't go the right way, ballots will be seized and certifications will be challenged. We have already seen the rehearsal.
Momentum Rising exists to meet this moment with something more than outrage. We are building the citizen-led infrastructure to defend the vote before, during, and after Election Day — in the communities where the threat is greatest and the need is most urgent.
Consider what happened in Alabama in 2017. Doug Jones's Senate victory was delivered almost entirely by Black women who organized across the entire state without party infrastructure, without party resources, and without party support. They did it anyway. They won anyway.
That is the model. That is the proof. That is exactly what Momentum Rising is building — permanently, professionally, and on purpose.
The Supreme Court's 6-3 ruling in Louisiana v. Callais effectively dismantled Section 2 of the VRA — the law won on the Edmund Pettus Bridge.

Before the election. On Election Day. After the vote. The threat is coordinated. So is our response.
